Singles-wise this week, Jessie Ware clutches her Pearls and heads back out into the dancefloor on her brand-new handbag house anthem, the latest single from her forthcoming fifth album, This! Feels Good! (This! Is A Good Album Title!). It's another luxurious and opulent pop confection from Britain's premier synth-pop queen.

Swedish alt-pop priestess Tove Lo also returns this week with a brand-new single, Borderline, that was co-written by none other than Dua Lipa (!) and Dove Cameron continues her post-Boyfriend release onslaught with We Go Down Together, a duet with Khalid. Dove's debut album, Celestial Body, should arrive sometime this year. Consider us perked up and ready for it.

The big album release this week comes from pop-punk icons Paramore, with This Is Why, their first LP (and last under their current record contract with Atlantic) since 2017's indie-pop soaked After Laughter. First things first, Paramore have pulled back from the 80s pop of their last record. This Is Why is a much more brittle and experimental record, heavily inspired by indie-rock bands at the turn of the century, like Bloc Party. It shows Hayley Williams and co. more confident than ever in their artistry, content with their legacy as one of the foundations of the modern pop-punk revival, but happy to move into new spaces. Long may it continue.

Beyoncé's first solo album in six years will mark a "Renaissance." The music streaming platform Tidal, which is owned by the star's husband, Jay-Z, announced the singer's upcoming album would be released on July 29.

Beyoncé, who has not tweeted since 2020, changed her Twitter bio to read the same thing. She did the same thing on Instagram. The singer has not shared any other information about the album on social media, but she did share several shots from a recent photoshoot for British Vogue's July issue.

The album will have 16 tracks, according to Apple Music's pre-order option. Box sets are already available to buy on her website, although there is very little detail about what each box set will include.

This will be the Grammy winner's seventh solo album. In 2018, she and Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, released a joint album as The Carters. In 2019 she produced the soundtrack album for the "Lion King" film remake, called "The Lion King: The Gift," and in 2020 she produced "Black is King," a companion album to the soundtrack and a musical film. She won multiple Grammys for both.

Her most recent solo album, "Lemonade," was released in 2016, and while she has featured on several other songs, fans have been anxiously awaiting more music. Beyoncé began trending on Twitter once the "Renaissance" news dropped.

We've also got a soaring, majestic new album from Weyes Blood, the second full-length from DJ and producer Honey Dijon, the Norwegian duo Röyksopp and more. Contributor Cyrena Touros joins WXPN's John Morrison, Radio Milwaukee's Tarik Moody and host Robin Hilton as they share their picks for the best releases out on Nov. 18.

"Ghosts Again" has been visually interpreted by longtime Depeche Mode collaborator and Memento Mori album cover and artwork designer Anton Corbijn. Corbijn's sublime rendering of the song in stark yet rich monochrome tones can be seen below.

Wales-born London-bred musician and producer Kelly Lee Owens' unique melding of electronic music's coolness and warmth has built her an eclectic following of fans, critics, and fellow musicians including St. Vincent, Bjork, John Cale, and of course Depeche Mode. With vocals as confident and captivating as her beats, Owens has built a formidable solo discography that includes the albums Kelly Lee Owens, Inner Song, and her latest record LP.8, released in spring 2022 to unanimous critical praise, including Clash magazine's lauding its "giant leap in her evolution as an artist, continuing to build on an ever-growing discography of limitless promise"

BERLIN, GERMANY (October 4, 2022) - Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2020 inductees Depeche Mode announced today at a special event in Berlin that they will be releasing a new album and embarking on a world tour in 2023. The Memento Mori Tour will support the band's forthcoming 15th studio album, Memento Mori, due out in Spring 2023.

In speaking about Memento Mori, Martin Gore commented, "We started work on this project early in the pandemic, and its themes were directly inspired by that time. After Fletch's passing, we decided to continue as we're sure this is what he would have wanted, and that has really given the project an extra level of meaning." Dave Gahan added, "Fletch would have loved this album. We're really looking forward to sharing it with you soon, and we can't wait to present it to you live at the shows next year."

Memento Mori will be Depeche Mode's 15th studio album and the follow-up to 2017's critically acclaimed Spirit, which reached #1 in 11 territories, charting in the Top 5 in more than 20 others. Memento Mori will be released worldwide in Spring 2023 via Columbia Records.
